My name is Alice and I’m an English teacher from Oxford in England. Before I came to China, I was completing my degree from the University of Leeds. I also gained a lot of work experience, both working at a primary school (age 4-11) and working for the Oxfordshire education department.

 

I am CELTA qualified with a grade B certificate. This is a 120 hour teacher training course over four weeks, and the most respected TEFL qualification. During this time I taught adults at the British Study Centre in Oxford which is British Council accredited.

 

I have been teaching in China for six months, and Owen College is a great place to be. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are warm and comfortable, and most importantly the food is delicious! Students are placed in classes according to their ability which is very important. Both the Chinese and foreign teachers work very hard together to make your lessons educational and fun. We work hard, but in our free time there are so many interesting things to do in Yangshuo, and it is very beautiful. I hope to see you at Owen College soon!
