Hi, this is Betty. I was so happy to have English lessons at Owen College. For me, it was more different from others’ experience. I not only improved my English very well, but also found my sweet husband there.
I felt quite at home there, I had so so so so much fun. It is my greatest pleasure to share my happy with you, as Owen College shares his happy with every student.
I remember I was a single poor girl when I came there, poor in friends, poor in knowledge, poor in everything. I had missed my friends and my parents very much. I often asked myself:” Why did you live an empty life?” I always thought I would be lonely when I study English there.
However, day by day, I grew stronger. I made a few of friends at Owen College, also some foreigners from West Street. Every weekend I joined the school activities with our lovely schoolmates and teachers. Step by step, my life was more and more interesting. I was rich in inner feeling. I enjoyed the sunshine of Yangshou, enjoyed the rivers, the hills, the wild flowers, even those little twinkle fireflies.
One of my teachers, Pasha, he told us that Romance was not about money or stories. Romance is a human personality. Rose, Diamond ring, Chocolate, those stuff can make your life more romantic, but if you enjoy some small things in your life, you also can be a romance. From that time, I realized I could make myself more happy for everything is up to myself.
By the way, now I am working in Shanghai. My wedding will be held by the end of this year. I hope I can take my honeymoon in Yangshou, so I can visit my college again. I miss Owen college…
