I graduated from Owen College last week. I had studied English here for four and half a months. For me, this was an amusing experience. As I said, all teachers looked like my friends, and schoolmates were very friendly and funny. We always had very much fun in our class. I remembered I was very nervous when I had arrived at our college. I thought I would be lonely without any friends here. But I changed my mind after two weeks. My English was so poor that I could not go to Level 2, so I decided to start the lesson from Level 1. The first week I joined Barbara's class and I enjoyed it very much. She was a lovely American lady. She always used very interesting body languages to help students to understand English very well. I could not speak a complete sentence before I started my English lesson here. But after a few weeks I could speak some simple sentences to chat with foreigners. Maybe sometimes I made a few mistakes, but the teacher always forgave my mistake and tried to help me. This was the most important reason for me dare speak English more and more. I was very lucky for having a good beginning.
Three weeks later I went to Level 2 to study New Concept English. Apple, my teacher, she is a pretty girl and rich in English. Even though she is very young, she has a lot of experience about teaching English. Every weekend I wrote one simple weekly diary to her. She didn’t only correct it, but wrote down some nice suggestions or comfort as well. Every time I reviewed my diary, I felt very warm. I thought my writing were improved very much during that time.
Also in Level 3, two teachers had given me their prefect lessons. Anne, she comes from America. We called her is an alive dictionary. In her class, you could ask any questions as odd as you think. She never said:" I am sorry, I don't know." She is rich in knowledge, including many kinds of cultures, not only the western countries, but also Chinese. She knows about China even more than us. I was very surprised when she told us the meaning of the Five-starred Red Flag. I never paid attention to this. She had asked me a question about eating to live or living to eat. She said she lived to eat, she enjoyed the delicacy very much, never worried about the weight. Another one is Peter, our business teacher, he has his own system of business lessons. I never got bored with his class. Every morning we started his class with great expectation and ended it with great excitement.
A lot of things I wanted to say, but I could not finish it in one day. Therefore I think just say thanks to teachers, schoolmates, and workers at Owen College. I have a good time with them.
